Electronics Engineer

Job Description:

Candidate will conduct detailed phases of engineering discipline and perform specific engineering assignments requiring proficiency and experience. Ability to research, develop, design and test electronic components, products and systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military and scientific applications.

Job Duties:

• Confer with staff engineers, customers and vendors on existing and potential engineering projects
• Analyze system requirements, capacity, cost and customer needs to determine feasibility of project and develop system plan
• Develop and perform operational, maintenance and testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment and systems
• Provide technical support and instruction to staff or customers regarding equipment standards and difficult in- service engineering projects
• Provides cost-effective engineering solutions utilizing creativity and historical information
• Provide work that is accurate, on time and well documented

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of related work experience
• BS degree in Electronics Engineering

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Managerial/supervisory experience
• Strong PC skills
• Knowledge of Altium software
• Knowledge of IPC Standards

Electronics Technician

Job Description:

Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, assemblies, equipment, and systems, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics.

Job Duties:

• Evaluate, troubleshoot and repair assemblies and PCB’s down to the component level using a variety of electronic test equipment.
• Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment
• Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics, using hand and power tools.
• Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron.
• Write reports and record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, and specifications to assist engineers.
• Provide customer support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems and to provide information on product use.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.

Qualifications:

• 2 to 3 years of related work experience
• AS degree or equivalent vocational training
