Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Operations Manager leads all plant operations and continuous improvement activities with overall responsibility for safety, production, maintenance, and other production support areas.

Job Duties:

  • Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, and production costs.
  • Assists in the quoting/estimation process.
  • Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities through planning with onsite and offsite resources to ensure the manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing and retrieving production data for reports.
  • Provide clear communication with workforce; ensure departmental work methods are compatible with company standards, customer requirements and risk analysis.
  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in roles as a production manager, continuous improvement manager, manufacturing area manager, or operations manager.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive continuous improvement, performance metrics and lean methodologies.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Managerial/supervisory experience
  • Strong PC skills
  • Knowledge of IPC Standards

Quality Manager

Job Description:

The Quality Manager plans, directs, coordinates and conducts activities concerned with the company quality system and will act as the Management Representative for the AS9100 system.  Interprets, implements and directs quality system programs to ensure quality control of production documentation and processes in accordance with corporate quality standards.

Job Duties:

  • Reviews, administers and maintains current AS9100 quality system registration.
  • Management representative for AS9100 purposes.
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection and evaluation.
  • Writes quality assurance policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Plans and oversees personnel engaged in conducting internal quality audits, line audits, receiving audits and dock audits.
  • Maintains the standards library.
  • Provides training to employees on topics related to quality assurance.
  • Maintains master files, PO folders, engineering change notices, internal corrective action and non-conforming materials, risk analysis and product launch data.
  • Compiles statistical data and writes narrative reports summarizing quality assurance findings.
  • Cooperates with top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or related technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Leadership role.
  • Experienced in AS9100 quality system registration or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and SPC
